Bio

Bob graduated from Penn State University in 1971 with a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering. After working for 25 years as an aerospace engineer with the United State Navy, he decided to devote himself to painting and drawing. He has painted with watercolors throughout his life (including his years as an engineer), though in 1990 he started to experiment with soft pastels. Finally in 1996, he began to concentrate exclusively on art. Bob’s most frequent subject is the landscape of Bucks County. He completes most pieces in a single sitting. Bob compares his paintings to short stories, communicating a simple theme and a subtle mood. Working in a modest scale allows him to explore many compositions and capture the essence of a moment on paper. Bob’s work has won dozens of awards at both the regional and national level. He was one of 50 artists featured in Doris Brandes’ book Artists of the River Towns. He has also been featured in many magazines and newspapers including Bucks County Town & Country Living Magazine and Nouveau Magazine.
