Bio
Michele received a B.F.A. from Kutztown University and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. As a full-time artist who paints primarily in oils, Michele most often explores the theme "the Art of Conversation", painting café scenes, street scenes and any social situation where people gather to converse. Most of her work is done en plein air. During the past two years, Michele has painted in Tuscany, Cuba, New York City, Key West, Santa Fe and Wyoming. She has won numerous awards, most recently an The 2018 President's Choice Award at the American Impressionist Society (AIS), and The Best Depiction of Light Award at The Wayne Plein Air Festival,.
In 2018 Liliedahl Productions released the third instructional video titled Palette Knife Cityscapes with Michele Byrne. Michele is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi Club, Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters and Berks Art Alliance.
