Bio
"Passionate", "brilliantly colorful", "soothing" and “joyful” are just some of the adjectives that collectors have used to define the paintings of this Pennsylvania-born artist. Using acrylic on canvas, Tony’s subjects include small stylized portraits, the “Three Sisters”, crowds of people at an event and his massive bountiful gardens. Described as an "artist's artist", Tony characterizes his paintings as "extremely personal and reflective, the results of coming from an unplanned journey.” His work hangs in private homes, galleries, corporations, restaurants, cafes and universities throughout the United States as well as in Paris, Tokyo, Taipei and Lebanon. Tony’s work has been chosen for exhibitions at The Haverford School, the Main Line Art Center and Delaware Valley College. He has also received a commission to create a large canvas for Swarthmore College. His paintings have been displayed in the Pappagallo Gallery in Pittsburgh; Chelsea 32 Gallery in New York City; and Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery in Lambertville, New Jersey. Tony is a professor at Delaware Valley College and maintains a studio in Lambertville.
