Teresa was born in Flint, Michigan but lived throughout the northeastern United States for more than 30 years. Currently she resides in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Teresa’s interest in art began at a young age and continued during high school when she received scholarships to attend summer camp at Michigan’s Interlochen Center for the Arts. She graduated from college with a BS in science and an MBA in business management, while later earning an associate’s degree in Fine Arts. Teresa continued to attend various painting workshops and classes while working fulltime in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry for over 40 years. Upon her retirement, she began an intense study of the arts, taking classes at the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial and studying with a number of distinguished instructors and artists in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Teresa enjoys the process of applying color using pigments in watercolor, pastel, oil and mixed media and experimenting with different surfaces. Her impressionistic work combines bright colors and textured paint applied with brushes and palette knives. Her subjects include figures, portraits, still lifes, florals and landscapes en plein air. Teresa has exhibited her work in numerous juried shows and has garnered awards in all media. She has taught classes for beginning adult students and belongs to several art leagues in the Philadelphia area.
